  1. Very nice choice! You correctly identified that it is indeed in the Key of A major, hence Capital I. You were then probably unsure how to make sense of a G major chord in the key of A major.

    Because it is a G major chord it should be represented as Captial: VII. However you'd assume that chord built on VII would be built on G# rather than G natural, so the best way to label this chord is by indicating that the chord is flatted:

    bVII
